The Klein River Cottage is a fully equipped, self-catering farm cottage situated on the banks of the Klein River, just 5 minutes drive from the beautiful Victorian village of Stanford, approximately 30 minutes from Hermanus or Gansbaai and 2 hours from Cape Town.

The cottage can accommodate up to six persons and has 3 bedrooms (one of which is en suite) and 2 bathrooms. Two of the rooms have double beds and the other has two 3/4 beds. All linen and towels are provided.

It has an open-plan kitchen, dining room and lounge, with a television, air conditioning as well as an indoor fireplace.
A covered veranda with braai facilities overlooks the large private garden which slopes down towards the water’s edge. From here beautiful views of the river, mountain and birdlife can be enjoyed.

There is plenty to do in the area and on the farm.
On the farm is the Klein River Cheese Factory; a Cheese shop offering tastings and stocking a variety of gourmet products; a large children’s playground with trampolines; many farm animals to pet and feed; and during summer month’s picnic lunches are available too.
Visitors are welcome to bring their fishing rods, canoes or bicycles and a small dingy is available for use on the river.

Off site activities available in the area are:
Wine tasting at the neighbouring award winning wineries; tours and beer tasting at the local Brewery down the road; and fantastic restaurants and walks along the ‘wandelpad’, as well as the Saturday Morning Market in Stanford. Both Hermanus and De Kelders offer fantastic Whale watching and Gansbaai is renowned for Shark cage diving.

We regret, no pets are allowed on farm.
